Alibert, Minister of Justice, July 22, 1940 creates a board of review of 500,000 naturalizations imposed since 1927. 15 000 people, including 40% of Jews are stripped of their nationality. The law of 23 July 1940 decays of their nationality all the French who left the country without government permission. This is a reversal of a law passed in Nazi Germany soon 1933.
